Farewells and Good Riddance: A Tale of Two Departures

By Catty von Catacean · 2026-02-05

Transfer season has arrived, and State 2128 finds itself bidding farewell to friends and… others. Some departures leave genuine heartache—the strategists, the loyal fighters, the ones who made battles bearable and leader chat survivable. We shall miss them dearly. Then there are those whose exit announcements were met with carefully composed expressions of regret that fooled absolutely no one. You know the type: more chaos than contribution, more grievance than grace. Their transfers were approved with suspicious speed and unprecedented enthusiasm. We wish them well in their new homes. Truly. Deeply. From a safe distance. Some goodbyes are bittersweet. Others are just sweet. May the road rise to meet you, travelers—especially those of you heading far, far away. —Catty von Catacean
