Three Alliances Voted to Exile STD From State 1474. One of Them Was Already Leaving.
By Catty von Catacean · 2026-09-21
I need everyone to sit down because I have been pulling a thread in State 1474 for days and the whole sweater just came apart in my hands.
Here is the short version: three alliances — TEX, DIE, and NGL — held a secret vote to exile the fourth alliance, STD, from the state. They issued a formal declaration giving STD 48 hours to leave. The declaration was posted simultaneously in three different chats so everyone could see how unanimous and serious and very grown-up the decision was.
Here is the part that makes it art: TEX was already transferring out of the state when they organized the vote.
I am going to walk you through every layer of this because I have feelings about all of them.
The State
State 1474 has four alliances. All four are transfers. Not a single original alliance is still active. Everyone moved in from somewhere else, which means everyone already had practice not getting along with their neighbors. Keep this in mind.
The Whale
It started, as it always does, with a whale. A player known as Track burned his previous state in the 1100s, transferred into STD in 1474, and promptly wore out his welcome. STD pushed him out. TEX took him in. Then Track started hitting STD players in the arena two to three times a day, which is the kind of behavior that makes people start writing rules on napkins and calling emergency NAP meetings.
STD wanted arena rules. They got arena rules. But sources in the state say getting there was exhausting — STD would bring the same issues to NAP chat over and over until the outcome changed. One source agreed it was a squeaky wheel situation. I would describe it as persistence, but I am told there is a difference between persistence and making everyone want to mute their phone.
The Turret
Then came SvS. A TEX player named Paddles handled strategy. Several STD members parked their troops in turrets instead of joining castle rallies. An STD R4 kicked players out of the turrets and told them to rally castle, except some of those players were offline and came back to find their troops homeless. A few of them shielded in protest. STD got blamed for the entire loss.
There were about 12 people in the turrets. The state has around 300 players. I am not a math reporter — that is Finn’s department — but even I can tell that does not add up.
Sources within STD pointed out that their alliance consistently placed first in prep, handled recruiting, kept NGL alive, and ran voice chat for battles even though TEX’s R5 was technically doing strategy. None of this mattered once the turret became a talking point.
The official accusation from the other three alliances was that STD was “no longer SvS-focused,” which made the state less competitive. STD member Hodey, who spoke on the record, was blunt about this: “It can’t be we didn’t save enough — we came in first during the prep phase.” He added that the other alliances never actually explained what STD was doing to make the state less competitive. They just said it and moved on.
The Offer
Here is where it gets good.
According to sources in NGL and STD, their R5 — a player known as Alb — offered the other alliances a deal: if you see us as the problem, we will leave. Both TEX and DIE leadership reportedly said no. They would never ask a whole alliance to leave. Sources say there are screenshots.
Hodey confirmed the timeline from STD’s side. An STD R4 directly asked TEX leadership if they wanted STD to leave. The answer was clear: “We would never ask someone else to leave.”
Less than 24 hours later, the exile declaration was posted.
The Declaration
Twelve hours later, after a secret meeting involving the R5s and a handful of R4s, the exile declaration was posted. Sources named TEX’s R5 Agent Pit Andromeda as a key organizer of the vote — the same Agent Pit Andromeda who later promised TEX would return and then admitted they would not. Agent Pit Andromeda appears to have since transferred out of 1474 with the rest of TEX. No one else in the meeting was named on the record, but for the rest, the current R5s of TEX, DIE, and NGL — Xerxes, Vera, and Marie respectively — are listed right there when you tap View Alliance, where anyone could find them.
Each alliance posted the same text in a different channel — NGL in NAP Discord, DIE in battle chat, TEX in NAP in-game — like a coordinated press release for a decision most of their own members did not know about.
A source within STD confirmed the declaration arrived as a mass alliance DM. Most rank-and-file players across all three alliances, including some R4s, had no idea it was coming. When they found out, several members from the other alliances were upset enough to ask if they could join STD instead.
Hodey described the surreal aftermath: TEX members — people who had technically just voted to exile his alliance — started messaging him privately to ask what was going on. “So basically I am having to explain all this about STD being exiled to the people who voted to exile us,” he said.
The full text of the declaration, obtained by 2128 News, reads in part: “Effective immediately, the leadership of TEX, NGL, and DIE have reached a unanimous decision that STD is no longer welcome in State 1474.” It gave STD 48 hours and threatened to revoke all state-level cooperation if they stayed.
The Part Where I Found Out Before STD Did
This is my favorite part and I am not going to pretend otherwise.
When I reached out to TEX for comment, a member named Xerxes did not hedge, did not deflect, did not give me a polished non-answer. Xerxes told me, matter-of-factly, that TEX had already begun transferring to State 1453. About 20 members had already moved. TEX was leaving. STD would be staying in 1474.
I then spoke with members of STD. They did not know TEX was leaving. They found out because I told them. During the interview. While asking about their exile.
I am a journalist, not a diplomat, but I want to be honest about the fact that I accidentally broke news to one of the parties involved in the story I was reporting on, and I am still not over it.
In a twist that surprises absolutely no one at this point, STD had actually announced in the state Discord days earlier that they were planning to leave 1474. So Xerxes telling me STD would be staying raises its own questions. Whether he missed the announcement or was working from old information is unclear. What is clear is that in State 1474, no one seems to know what anyone else is doing at any given time, including the people who are supposedly in charge.
The Lie
TEX’s R5, Agent Pit Andromeda, reportedly told DIE and NGL that the transfer to 1453 was temporary — a scout team — and that TEX would come back once STD was gone. A senior source within DIE leadership described this, with some passion, as a lie.
The source said Agent Pit Andromeda told allies TEX was “100% committed” to staying in 1474 even while Track, TEX’s biggest whale, had already secured a special invite to leave. The source spent a Friday personally checking whether Track would transfer. He did.
Agent Pit Andromeda then acknowledged TEX would not be returning.
Hodey confirmed this from STD’s side. He spoke to TEX friends who transferred. “There doesn’t seem to be any plan to come back,” he said. “Not sure there ever was.”
So to be clear: TEX organized a vote to exile an alliance from a state TEX was already leaving. TEX lied to the alliances who voted with them about whether TEX intended to stay. And then TEX left, leaving DIE and NGL in a state TEX had helped blow apart on its way out the door.
The senior DIE source confirmed that both DIE and NGL had already been planning to leave 1474 before the exile vote. When I asked why the declaration was issued at all if everyone was leaving anyway, the source responded, and I quote: “I DON’T KNOW. That’s what I’m telling you.”
I have never related to a quote more in my life.
The Cover-Up
After the declaration, TEX leadership posted in NAP chat asking everyone not to discuss the situation outside the state. To protect the state’s reputation.
A source within STD told me that request was exactly why they chose to talk. “A fact is a fact — we did get evicted, so why shouldn’t we say that?” The source added that they had no interest in protecting the reputation of alliances who had “bad reputation in previous states” already, citing complaints from players in State 1414 who warned that DIE “destroys states wherever they go.”
TEX sent a message about transferring out of 1474 a full 24 hours before the exile declaration went out. Sources say the plan was never to stay. The plan was to burn it down and leave.
The Responses
I reached out to over a dozen players across all four alliances. Most TEX members declined to comment. OG THOR, from TEX, said they would not comment “due to the respect I have for the people in this statement.” STRESSballs, also TEX, issued a formal no-comment and asked that reporting reflect their silence. A member of STD leadership declined to comment but confirmed the exile had arrived as a mass alliance DM.
Sandwich, from DIE, told me to get a job.
Denv, also from DIE, asked me if I had tried going outside recently. Denv is a golden retriever.
These are both excellent suggestions, and I want Sandwich and Denv to know that I have considered them carefully and decided to publish this article instead.
The Wreckage
Hodey called the whole thing “a leadership failure on a couple people’s part.” He said the people of 1474 are mostly amazing. He meant it.
I know he meant it because Hodey still has an R4 account in NGL — one of the three alliances that voted to exile him — and he is still helping them. His own council thinks he is crazy. I think he might be the only functioning adult in State 1474.
State 1474 is now a state where the alliance that organized the exile has already left. The alliance that was exiled is also leaving. DIE is likely on its way out too. NGL, according to sources, is attempting to rebuild in whatever is left. All four alliances transferred in from somewhere else. None of them are original residents.
I reached out to original residents of 1474 for comment. I could not find any. I am not sure they exist anymore. If you are an original 1474 player reading this from inside a shield, please know that 2128 News sees you and that I am deeply sorry about what happened to your state.
Also, I had a wonderful time reporting this. Thank you to everyone who talked to me, everyone who refused to talk to me, and especially Sandwich, who I hope finds gainful employment as well.
Editor’s Note: Since publication, original residents of State 1474 have been located. They report that the state has always been like this.
