State 2128 Uses Voice Chat For Second Time In Recorded History

By Griff Harpoon · 2026-05-23

State 2128 coordinated today's castle battle using Discord voice chat. This is the second known instance of this occurring.

Players who typically communicate exclusively through text, emoji, and the occasional gif were asked to speak out loud using their mouths. They did. The battle was coordinated. The fortresses were claimed.

Analysts are currently investigating whether this development was driven by military necessity or whether a Boomer got in the channel and just started talking.

—Griff Harpoon, actually reporting.

Update, there was laughing and shouting and apparently no muting.
